Featured Instructional Programs

  • All students in grades 1-5 take active roles in musical theater productions at each grade level throughout year
  • Elementary and middle school students receive foreign language instruction (French, Spanish)
  • All elementary students have weekly art and music classes, and all students have physical education; these enrichment courses are taught by specialist teachers
  • Hands-on, inquiry-based elementary science program featuring an organic garden classroom, Starlab and Robotics

Accreditation

Almaden Country School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). In 2009, the school received WASC's highest accreditation, a six-year term. ACS is a provisional member of the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS).
