Apple Orchard
Priority. Students needing care 5 days a week are given priority for Apple
Orchard enrollment. We do not offer an annual one-day-a-week program. If
your child needs care one day per week, you will be asked to pay on a
drop-in basis (see below). Space is limited by our license.
Payment. Annual fees must be paid along with tuition and can be paid in full or via monthly EFT on the 20th of each month.
Pro-Rating. Tuition is not pro-rated for days that your child does not attend due to school closures, illness, play dates and/or extra curricular activities.
Late Pick-Up Fees. Late fees begin accruing at the end of your child’s session, either at 3:01 p.m. or 6:01 p.m. Any child who is picked up after their designated time will be charged $25.00 per 15 minutes or fraction thereof. Late pick-up fees are to be paid, by check, to the closing teacher at the time of pick-up.
Adding Days/Sessions. An additional fee will be charged when your child attends Apple Orchard for more sessions than is paid for in the annual fee. Please refer to our Drop-in Rates below.
Schedule Changes. Multiple schedule changes may be subject to a change fee of up to $50 per change.
Rest Period. All children who attend the afternoon extended care session will be offered a brief rest period after lunch.
Drop-In Rates. $35 per session or $15 per hour.
Payment. The fee for Drop-in Care is to be paid to the Apple Orchard Staff by check on the day that services are provided for your child. A $5 late fee will be charged for any drop-in fees not received on the day the services are provided.
Availability. Priority for Drop-in Care will be given to students enrolled in the Apple Orchard Program. Drop-in Care is only available if we have space in the program.
Notification. The Apple Orchard staff needs to receive a request in writing or via e-mail (mail to: AppleOrchard@a- cs.org) two days prior to the day your child will need care. A space for your child is not guaranteed until you have received confirmation from the Apple Orchard Staff. In the case of urgent need, please call 408-997-0424, ext. 260 to check if space is available that day. We will do our best to accommodate last minute requests.
General Procedures
Lunch. Students attending the PM Session should bring a lunch or purchase a hot lunch from the school for an extra fee.
Sign In/Out. Children will only be admitted to Apple Orchard after a parent or authorized person signs the student in. Children will not be allowed to leave Apple Orchard until a parent or authorized person signs the child out. The sign in/out form will be kept next to the front door. The same procedure applies to Begindergarten.
Right To Inspect Files. The Department of Social Services licenses our Begindergarten and Apple Orchard Extended Care programs and has the right to inspect our programs and the files of students enrolled in these programs.
MASH
Priority. Students needing care 5 days a week are given priority for MASH enrollment.
Drop-In Rates. $35 per session or $15 per hour.
Clubs and sports. Those who are paying for a full
year of MASH attendance will receive a discount on fees for ACS clubs
and sports. Those joining MASH after having taken part in a club or
sport will be charged the hourly rate.
