At Almaden Country School, we believe children benefit from having a comfortable place to wind down after a long day at school — a safe, enriching and homelike atmosphere.

ACS has two extended care programs:

• The Apple Orchard, ACS's licensed Extended Care Program, for our Early Childhood Education and Elementary students.

• MASH: Middle School Activities, Sports and Homework program for our Middle School students.

Apple Orchard

The Apple Orchard is open Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. We offer before-and after-school programs for our Begindergarten–Kindergarten children as well as an after-school program for our elementary-age children. Each program provides a secure, supervised learning environment, offering stimulating activities that engage minds and spark imaginations, as well as opportunities for the unstructured play so vital to healthy childhood development. Our Apple Orchard teaching staff is comprised of caring professionals who are trained in the latest health, safety and educational practices.

MASH

MASH is our after-school program for students in grades 5-8. MASH stands for Middle School Activities, Sports and Homework. MASH is offered after school from 3-6 p.m., Monday-Friday.

MASH offers students a chance to get their homework done after school and free up more evening time, as well as providing opportunities for activities and socializing. MASH also accommodates participation in after school sports and clubs. You can sign up your children for MASH from 3-5 days per week, as well as on a drop-in basis if space is available.
