The Pasta Market

Almaden Country School is pleased to announce that The Pasta Market will be our hot lunch provider starting in September 2016.

Giulietta Italian Foods, Inc./The Pasta Market was founded and established in Los Altos in 1982. The company, which has restaurants in San Jose, Sunnyvale and Los Altos, currently provides high-quality hot lunch meals to 15 private and public schools in the South Bay.

The Pasta Market lunches offer many features that parents expect in a high-quality school meal, at a great value. Meals are $5.25 or $6.50 (larger entrée) – includes entrée, one side, fresh fruit and drink (1% milk, sparkling water or water.) Salads are available every day as the main course of a full meal or for $4 as a stand-alone item.

Pasta Market, which purchases the fruit delivered to ACS daily from local suppliers, provides organic or pesticide-free produce when possible. All meat and poultry is minimally processed and hormone- and antibiotic-free. Milk is from local dairies located in the Central Valley, mainly Producer’s Dairy. All meals are prepared the morning of service and delivered within a few hours of preparation. Lunches are packaged in compostable containers or BPA-free plastic.

Student meals are nut-free and sesame-free. Gluten-free pasta is available on days when pasta is on the menu. For other allergens, please review the nutritional information and ingredients which will be available on the ACS website after August 15.

The Pasta Market partners with orderlunches.com to provide a secure, fast, and easy-to- use online ordering system that allows parents to view the lunch menu, order, prepay and manage student lunches on the web.

Meals are $5.25 or $6.50 (larger entrée) – includes entrée, one side, fresh fruit and drink (1% milk, sparkling water or water.) You may place orders in advance (for 3 month period). Same-day orders must be placed online by 6am. Please note that lunch orders are not accepted in the school office. If a student has missed the hot lunch ordering deadline (by 6am for same-day lunches), you can either bring in a lunch for your student or pay for side items such as yogurt, fruit or snacks (not a main course). The Pasta Market staff will note your student’s snacks and bill your account.
