Parent Service Auxiliary

The PSA is comprised of all parents and guardians of ACS students. The PSA is dedicated to serving the needs of the school and children by:

  • Creating memory-making events and programs, which give children and their families a joyful, happy school experience.
  • Building a strong, cohesive, involved and informed school community.
  • Supporting the ACS administration.

This mission is accomplished by each family’s support and active participation in the PSA’s extensive family-oriented events and programs throughout the school year. See sidebar to download a copy of the PSA Handbook.

Fundraising

The PSA raises funds throughout the year to support events and programs that enrich your child’s school experience. The Fund Run, held the first Friday in October, Gift Card Scrip and eScrip are the three primary sources of funding. Other smaller fundraisers are held throughout the year. Parental support of PSA fundraisers is greatly appreciated and directly impacts the quality of all PSA sponsored events and programs.

Volunteering

Parents have the opportunity to sign up for a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at the beginning of the year. Sign ups are done online when school starts and throughout the year.

ACS has a strong culture of participation. Every family is encouraged to volunteer for events and programs throughout the year. There are many flexible opportunities to serve and although participation is voluntary, our school enjoys a vast and talented parent volunteer base. We appreciate the talents, enthusiasm and passions our parents bring to our community.

PSA Board

The PSA board is comprised of PSA members who serve in a variety of positions and serve as liaisons between the administration, faculty and the parents as a whole. The board is responsible for the management of all PSA events and programs, fundraising and the allocation of its funds. All parents are encouraged to attend the monthly PSA meetings usually held the first Tuesday of each month at 8:15 a.m. in the PSA room.
