Annual Giving Campaign

The Annual Giving Campaign (AGC) is an important part of the budget because we count on AGC donations to support a portion of our operating costs—offsetting expenses such as salaries, programming and services.

If the AGC is successful each year, even as our costs rise, Almaden Country School can continue to maintain modest, predictable tuition increases for our families. But the AGC is also fundamentally about who we are as a school.

As a kind and caring community, we want to model a culture of generosity. The Administration and Board of Trustees first asks themselves to donate before asking a single current or past parent, alumnus/a, grandparent, teacher, or friend to give. Then our community is asked to donate, with the objective of reaching a significant percentage participating. The results reflect the kind of community we are, and speak to the confidence we have in ACS.

For the past three years, 100% of ACS teachers donated to the AGC, which says volumes about their commitment to their students and to the school’s mission. Additionally, 100% of our administration, board of trustees, and Parent Service Auxiliary (PSA) donated, and more than 70% of our families participated as well.

We aim to join a very select group of independent schools in which 100% of parents contribute to annual giving — an accomplishment appropriate to the extraordinary level of parental enthusiasm and support ACS has enjoyed for nearly three decades.

We encourage all of our families to consider making a gift that reflects their ability to support ACS and the learning environment it provides for more than 400 students. Since ACS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, donations are tax deductible as provided by law. Our students and teachers thank you for your support, and welcome you to our community of giving!
